Remote managed IT services for New York businesses

Varnox provides managed IT, VoIP, VPN and web support to New York City teams entirely over secure remote access, with a written scope before any paid work.

We are remote-first and do not have a New York office. Most IT work does not need one. For the parts that do, we tell you upfront and document the local steps.

What we cover

Done remotely for NYC teams

Scoped in writing and priced per engagement, not all at once unless you ask.

  • Helpdesk and troubleshooting for laptops, email, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
  • Patching, backup checks and restore drills with written runbooks
  • Account security: MFA, least-privilege admin access, offboarding checklists
  • Linux servers and VPS hosting: hardening, monitoring, Docker, backups
  • WireGuard VPN for hybrid and distributed staff
  • Business VoIP with FreePBX, Asterisk or 3CX, including cutover planning
  • Websites and technical SEO for service businesses

Honest boundaries

What still needs someone on site

A remote partner should document these steps or coordinate a vetted local vendor, not promise to send someone from another country.

  • New cable drops, rack work and Wi-Fi surveys
  • Warranty hardware swaps and printer fleets
  • Physical security cameras and access control

How it works

From first call to handover

  1. 1

    Free first conversation

Tell us your team size, tools, servers and the top problems you want solved. We reply within one business day.

  2. 2

    Written scope

You receive the systems covered, hours or deliverables, assumptions and price before any paid work begins.

  3. 3

    Phased delivery

Changes are made in stages, with staging links for web work, test calls for VoIP and rollback steps written in advance.

  4. 4

    Handover documentation

You get runbooks and account ownership notes, so your next hire or vendor never starts from zero.

Where we work

All five boroughs, delivered remotely

We support teams in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, along with other businesses across the New York metro area, entirely over secure remote access. Where a job needs hands on site, we document the steps or work with a local vendor you choose.

Choosing a provider

What a good managed IT arrangement includes

Use this list to compare any provider, including us.

  • Written scope that lists systems covered, hours or deliverables, and what happens when you exceed them
  • Named admin accounts with MFA, and your domain, email and cloud billing accounts held in your company name
  • Backups that are tested by restoring, not only by checking that a job ran
  • Documented onboarding and offboarding so access is removed on the last day
  • Plain-language monthly summaries of tickets, repeat issues and open risks
  • Honest limits: no 24/7 NOC promise, and clear boundaries around regulated data such as HIPAA or PCI unless separately scoped

Pricing

What drives the cost of managed IT

We price per engagement and put the scope and price in writing before any paid work, so there is no generic rate card here.

  • Number of users and devices
  • Servers, VPS hosts, VPN gateways and phone systems you run
  • Response expectations: business hours versus after-hours coverage
  • Project work (migrations, VoIP cutovers, rebuilds) versus ongoing support
  • Documentation and compliance expectations

FAQ

Questions from New York teams

Ask us anything on the contact form if you do not see your scenario.

No. Varnox is remote-first and does not maintain a New York walk-in office. We serve New York City teams over secure remote access, and we say so plainly in every scope.
For most day-to-day work, yes: email, cloud apps, laptops, servers, VPN and VoIP configuration are handled remotely. Physical work such as cabling and hardware replacement needs a local vendor, which we document or help you coordinate.
We work asynchronously by default and schedule calls in US Eastern-friendly windows when needed. Urgent issues are handled according to the response targets written in your scope. We are not a 24/7 NOC unless that is explicitly scoped and priced.
Typically small and mid-size teams of roughly 5 to 50 people that want reliable day-to-day IT, a phone system or VPN, or a website, without building a full in-house IT department.
Yes. Remote delivery works the same across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. Physical work such as cabling or hardware swaps needs a local vendor, and we help document or coordinate it.
We can support the day-to-day IT around such systems, but formal programs such as HIPAA or PCI compliance, audits and certifications are scoped separately, and we do not promise compliance outcomes without that scope.
Pricing depends on users, devices, servers and response expectations. Many small teams start with a small monthly hour bank plus quoted projects. You receive a written scope and price before any paid work.
